Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN)

Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) was established in 1967 by Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.

Currently the organization consists of 10 members-states and 2 observer states.

With its motto: “One Vision, One Identity, One Community” (see https://asean.org/asean/about-asean/asean-motto/) the ASEAN aims at accelerating the economic growth in the region, promoting regional peace and stability, promoting active collaboration and mutual assistance on matters of common interest in the economic, social, cultural, technical, scientific and administrative fields.
